SERMON TEXT:   Matthew 6:5-15; Psalm 91
SERMON TITLE:   "Deliver Us From Evil" / Rev. Tim Latham

This service will be available via Live Stream on our  Facebook page starting at 10:30 a.m..   If you will be worshiping with us live, you can follow along with this week's bulletin.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE LIVE STREAM?
A recording of the sermon and access to the bulletin will be posted on the Fairview website.  The most recent sermon is always available toward the bottom of the homepage.  Previous sermons are always available in our Sermon Library.

COMMON QUESTIONS:
“What if I don’t have a Facebook account?” You don’t need one to access the streamed worship services linked above.
"What about last week’s sermon?" All sermons are made available on our website. The most recent sermon is always available toward the bottom of the homepage.  Previous sermons are always available in our Sermon Library.
“Can I see previous worship services? The whole service… not just the sermon?”  Yes…all previous Worship Services that were streamed live, can be found on Fairview’s FaceBook live videos page.

In accordance with recommendations from the CDC and guidelines from Pennsylvania government, Session has decided that masks are no longer required in the building for those who have been fully vaccinated.  We are still asking those who have not been vaccinated to wear masks in motion until our statewide numbers hit 70%.  We are grateful for the patience and understanding that so many of you have displayed throughout this confusing season.

**special Missions offering** this sunday

COVID Relief Kits - $35      Each kit provides an impoverished family of four with basic food for 3 weeks, as well as sanitation supplies and masks.

Our goal is to provide kits to 3,000 families in villages where literacy projects have been completed or are scheduled and delayed due to COVID.

Anyone who wishes to support this ministry can bring a check to church and use the Mission Envelopes on table where the Offering Plates are located.  Checks can be made out to GTi or Fairview with a note stating it should go to GTi.

GTi HOPE is not a disaster relief agency.  We continue to support and plan ministry projects for the future knowing that God wants every person to have the opportunity to be in relationship with Him.  But we feel called to meet immediate needs. Our indigenous Indian partner has shared how this devastating virus is impacting their ministry, their partners in ministry, and the projects which bring the light of literacy and the message of hope to tens of thousands of low caste and rural people.

Lockdowns recently declared in several states may help contain the virus, but will also cause people to lose income and face starvation

 bridge of Hope news

UPDATE:  On a recent visit to see Leta and the boys it’s great to be able to report back that she is moving forward.  She’s had some experiences lately including, having to get a different vehicle, the van’s transmission left her sitting at the grocery store on a recent Sunday afternoon.  Bridge of Hope assisted her and by Wednesday of that week she had a car.  Now that the boys are in daycare Monday thru Friday there have been nights Leta gets little sleep.  Apparently it’s not unusual for a child to catch a lot of illnesses when beginning daycare—which Carter has had some restless nights…but things are different with her.  She’s not just surviving life from one day to the next for the next problem—she’s surviving by planning ahead and being better prepared overall.

Please continue to keep Leta and her boys in your prayers.   Leta is hoping to find a new Full-time job that will hopefully have her off her feet more, be able to build financial savings for future expenses and giver her family a day trip sometime soon.

And if you would like to join Fairview’s Neighboring Volunteers with Bridge of Hope, please reach out to Brenda Stauffer at 484-678-0436.
