We have spent the last few months in the Gospel of Matthew. Starting with Advent and our waiting for the King, through the Sermon on the Mount and finishing with Holy Week – we have seen Matthew’s insistence on calling us to not just be believers but to become disciples – to follow Jesus in every aspect of our lives. We are called to pursue a life-long discipleship process, where we grow in our ability to follow Jesus more and more each day. And so, before we leave Matthew entirely, I wanted to look at the rest of the Gospel and pull out lessons to guide us in this Life of Discipleship.
