Navigating Fairview’s Future

We know you're eager for an update on our transitional plan. First, a huge thank you to Dennis Lesher for his leadership in coordinating our supply pastors and overseeing worship. Your Session is actively working with the national Director of Transitional Ministry, Bill Rasch, along with Stefan Bomberger and Tod Gilmore from the Presbytery Development Committee, and Daniel Moore from the Ministerial Committee. These ongoing discussions have led to the recommendation of Dan Stewart as our interim Session moderator. Our focus remains on finding a suitable transitional pastor and charting a path to reinvigorate our community. This process is taking longer than anticipated, but it's clear we need to make changes to thrive. We are exploring all possibilities, trusting in God's plan for Fairview.

What’s Working in the EPC?

Many congregations face challenges similar to Fairview's. The EPC honors churches that have successfully navigated these hurdles with the Bart Hess Award. Bart Hess was the founder of the EPC. Click the video below to see how a Valley Hill Church, the 2025 winner, overcame formidable obstacles.

Then see the transformation God inspired at Forge Church (2024 award winner), and prayerfully consider how God might inspire our revitalization efforts for Fairview and the Glenmoore community.

Be a PIP!

What can each member do while we are in this transition? Be a PIP!

  • PRAY! Keep Fairview in your prayers. Join us Sunday for Sunday worship and our weekly prayer meeting afterward.
  • INVITE!  Bring friends and neighbors to worship or upcoming activities.
  • PARTICIPATE! Your presence matters. We need help with greeting, coffee setup/cleanup, nursery care, bible studies, and consistent giving. Stewardship is vital during this time.

Please reach out to any Session member with questions or concerns.

Grace and Peace,
Bonnie Mecaughey
