IT'S TIME TO PLAN YOUR 2017 GIVING

Support Fairview’s Vision for 2017

The vision of Fairview EPC is to develop faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who will worship, connect, know, and serve in His name in Glenmoore, our surrounding communities, and throughout the world. Will you play a part in that mission in 2017?

One way you can do so is by pledging your financial support for next year. To do so, simply complete a yellow pledge card and place it in the offering plate during worship on Consecration Sunday, October 30 (or mail it to the church office, if you can’t make it to worship that week). Alternately, you can set up your electronic giving commitment any time online — to learn how, see the Give Online! announcement below.

Fairview is now part of the tithe.ly network, which allows you to make financial contributions to the church via your computer, tablet, smartphone, or other internet-connected device. You can make a one-time gift, schedule your tithe or offering in advance, and even give to specific funds, like the deacons. For more information, visit fairviewepc.org/give or contact Jim Pomager ( ).

 Opportunities to Know

Small Group Studies for all Ages begin at 9:15 A.M.

 New Men’s Small Group forming

A new men’s small group has begun to sprout. M.O.R.A. (Men of Retirement Age) will have their first organizational gathering on Monday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the church parlor. Thank you to Don Titus for answering God’s call to facilitate this group. The group will use the book titled “God’s Words of Life for Men”. This book combines scriptures and inspirational thoughts on a wide variety of topics that men are faced with such as: strength, work, finances, role-models and integrity just to name a few. For additional information contact Don at or at 610-942-8721.

TRUNK OR TREAT

Fairview Deacons will be hosting “Trunk or Treat” on October 30, 2016 in our church parking lot. Church members may participate by decorating their vehicles “trunk” and providing “treats” to our children. “Trunk or Treat” will begin immediately after worship.

Thank you for supporting this fun and safe event for our children

Opportunities to Serve

GOOD WORKS WORKDAY

OUR GOOD WORKS TEAM IS NOW SUPPORTING HOMES IN NORTHERN CHESTER COUNTY!!

Our normal workday is the first Saturday of the month.

Our partner home is here in Glenmoore. We are working out of the NCC Warehouse in St. Peter’s Village. Our workday begins at the St. Peter's warehouse at 8:00 and we complete our workday by 3 PM.

We would love to have you join our team. Many hands make light work. You only need to bring a willing heart. Tools and materials are provided. Women and teens are also welcome to join us.

The Team meets for breakfast & fellowship at 7:00 and then goes to the NCC Warehouse in St. Peters Village at 8 AM.

For questions and/or further details contact: Roy Adler 610-416-5996 or Jim Palmer 610-458-0898.

If you can help by providing lunch for the team, contact Sue Obenschain at 610-286-5013.

SUNDAY MORNING GREETERS

Are you interested in being a greeter at the front door of Fairview EPC on Sunday morning, welcoming visitors and members alike to our worship service?  This is one way to “Serve” in our discipleship process here at Fairview.  It only requires a small amount of extra time on Sunday mornings.  If you’re interested or would like to know more please contact Nancy Hayes via email or by phone at 610-883-6677.

BAGEL SUNDAY

Anyone interested in sponsoring a Bagel Sunday the last Sunday of any month, please see Christy Pomager on Sunday, email her a  or use the sign up genius here.

CANNED FOOD COLLECTION

Fairview EPC participates in the food bank run by The Salvation Army and Faith Alliance Church in Glenmoore.

My contact there, and the people who pick up the food here at Fairview, tell me that for Thanksgiving and Christmas the number of needy families soars to 250 from 60.

I know everyone is really busy and like me you probably race thru the food store ASAP. Just a little tickler to say, notice the pasta for 88 cents a box, or the peanut butter when it’s on sale or even tuna fish in the can. Just pick up something each trip if you can and bring it to Fairview on Sunday morning. That would be soooo appreciated. We’ll make sure it gets to Faith Alliance.

Bobbie Mackey and Jo-Ellen Claphanson took over another load of food this past Friday. Adults and children are lined up for food when we get there at 9 a.m.

If anyone wants to help with the deliveries, it takes about 30 minutes and not every Firday. The time is 9 a.m. at Fairview. Please let Bobbie or Jo-Ellen know if you would like to help.

Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Jo-Ellen Claphanson, Bobbie Mackey

THIS IS AN ONGOING "SERVE" IN OUR DISCIPLESHIP PROCESS HERE AT FAIRVIEW. WORSHIP, CONNECT, KNOW AND SERVE.

SERVING IN THE CHURCH NURSERY DURING WORSHIP

We are in need of a few volunteers in the Church Nursery on Sunday mornings to help our Nursery Attendant, Nancy Finch with the children. If you are interested you can contact Christy Pomager  at  or 619-469-6481. There is also a sign up genius available.

KCUP DONATIONS

Next time you pass the K-cups in the grocery aisle why not pick up a pack and bring it with you on Sunday morning? This would be a huge blessing! Or if you ever see a Buy One GET One sale why not Buy One and GIVE One We can use caffeine/decaf/tea/hot chocolate/flavored. Any brand name is fine! See you at the Keurig on Sunday!
