The Book of Mark is the shortest Gospel we have; but it’s short in part because it’s focused and direct. Mark is mainly concerned with the identity of Jesus. Throughout the Gospel, people are confused by who Jesus is, even the disciples cannot truly understand Him. At times, Jesus seems to want to keep His identity a secret, instead, He almost exclusively refers to Himself as “the Son of Man” which is a term that perplexes scholars to this day. Coming out of Christmas with the understanding that Jesus is God With Us – I believe that learning more about Jesus is the most important way we could spend our time. So, let us together embark on a quest to understanding who is this Son of Man!
