Preparation for Worship
Leader: O God, you pour out the Spirit of grace and love, deliver us from cold hearts and wandering thoughts, that with steady minds and burning zeal we may worship you in spirit and truth. Amen.
Call to Worship
Leader: Sing to the Lord, a new song;
People: sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Leader: Sing to the Lord, praise His name;
People: proclaim His salvation day after day.
Prayers of Adoration
Spend a few minutes praising God. You could just invite people to say words out loud that characterize God and His care for us, or thank for who He is and what He has done for us. Today, on Pentecost, you might pay special attention to the gift of the Holy Spirit

Prayer of Confession
Leader: Lord, you are a God who keeps promises. In our songs and prayers, we say that we want to be Christians but too often we our promises, too often our actions do not matchup with our words. We say hurtful things to others, we think of ourselves first, and worst of all, we ignore you. Lord, forgive us and hear our prayer.
Time for Silent Confession

Leader: All the prophets testify about Christ that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name! This is a Promise of the Lord!

Leader: Christians, what do you believe?
People: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
